Build your own Building Blocks

Children love to create buildings and forts so building blocks are a great toy to make for children. These blocks are bigger than the traditional large building blocks and are much more sturdier and the best part they are more likely to survive those accidental water spills from children!

What you need:
 - Empty Capri Sun boxes
 - Decorative or Plain Color
 - Scissors

Each roll of Decorative or Plain Color Duck Tape will cover 3 empty Capri Sun boxes. The average cost for a roll of Duck tape is $3.99 and a box of Capri Sun is $2 so for $10 you can make 3 blocks. The average cost of 12 large cardboard blocks from stores is $48 or if you buy online you have to include shipping.

Helpful Hints to make them Cheaper:
 - Buy the duck tape at AC Moore or Micheal's and use your weekly 40% off coupon in the add and pay about $2.40 a roll.
 - Wait for sales on Capri Sun and get them as low as $1 each.
 - Use coupons when you can find them for the Capri Suns.

How to make them:

First you will need to make sure you empty the Capri Sun Box and tape the open end shut. You will then tape the long sides leaving about a half inch from the corners and overlap the tape by a 1/4 inch. use the scissors to cut the tape for length. Then you will tape the corners overlapping on the long sides and you are done. Really easy to make and lasts a long time.
